Device for injecting Insulin Circa 1964

Ready to fire

Russell's story

Fired
Amazing object sent to me by Russell Duffy..it came with the story of how he came by it.
"I was again in hospital, Rush Green, I think when the nurse handed me a syringe (me being diabetic).....the nurse told me to inject myself....passing me what looked like a mini crossbow .......
As it made me feel like Clint Eastwood or John Wayne I gave it a go..."

Luckily insulin pens have been invented...when you fire this is is quite fast and makes you jump..so I wouldn't like it firing a syringe into me....
Thank you Russell for the donation to the A1 Scrapmetal collection...although I think this needs to go in my redundant objects collection....
