Found by Adele Prince and sent to me for my strange Metal Collection.
It is very hard to date a nail, it looks hand made.

You are right...obviously handmade...worthy of a bit of research into nails. Also wondering, since metal brings to mind magnets, if you have a collection of those?
Magnets...I do have some..good idea.
This new camera uses too much memory..I might have to use it on its lower pixel setting as I have already used 64% of this months memory space on Flicker.
Quality or quantity? That is the question?
It's an odd shape. I wonder if it was used for fixing bits of curved wood, or nailing things round corners.

It looks like a left handed grubbit nail to me, and by the rust and patina i would say it was made on the 3rd. of September 1911, give or take a day or two.
