Chesterton Gold End Tape

A tin of Chesterton Gold End Thread Seal Tape.
with wonderful INSTRUCTIONS:
Place end of tape on pipe thread one eighth of inch from end of pipe. Wrap tape around pipe stretching tape enough to pull it into threads.
Slightly overlap the starting turn.Press tightly on tape and pull hard to break it. Pipe thread is now ready for joining. Joint should be snug but does not require complete tightness as with other pipe dopes.

Hazel...your picture does it more than justice! and didn't know what the heck it did til I read your instructions! Not that I'm fitting pipes...
Are we going to see your time capsule then?
