Very Odd Light Bulb

I found this bulb on the Kwik Save boot sale.
The Lady just said it was very old and still worked, but it looks to scary to try.
It looks like it might get very hot.

That's quite a bulb. I think it was used in Frankenstein's laboratory! Check out this site, www.bulbcollector.com. Maybe they will know something about it.

Thank you angelica for that top tip.I looked at the site and contacted the lovely man called Tim Tromp who told me that this bulb is a vintage neon lamp,sometimes called a beehive filament..or an Osglim.
Made between 1920 - 1950s.
he also gave me some saftey advice if I wanted to test it.
His we site is wonderful..I will get michael to add a link to it.
