The boot sale season as started up at last, 4 of them last Sunday and these two finds were from the same stall in Anderton.(50 peance each)
I was thrilled with the NU-LOK100...Archie's friend thought it highly amusing that anyone could be so excited by a bit of metal...
All I can say is that anything with NU-LOK100 stamped on it must be good.

This, I believe, is for holding down your collar.
(I have another version somewhere which I will blog at a later date.)
I think it was a time when collars were stiff and starched and curled up now and again.

Stitch Holders

I found this collection of stitch holders in the same box on Crewe Market as few weeks ago. (getting a bit behind on my blogging!)
They are basically long safety pins..and are used for holding stitches when making collars or pockets when you are knitting a woolly.

I found these on Wednesday, in the Help the Aged shop next to Northwich Library. We were putting Michael's collages up in the library and on the way home we popped in to have a look.
The bell shaped one has holes numbered from 1 to 17
